Everything You Want
to Know About Banyan Waste

We get a lot of the same questions. Here are the most common ones — but don't hesitate to reach out if you don't see yours.

🌿 General
A waste broker acts as a middleman between businesses and waste haulers. Instead of negotiating directly with a single hauler, you work with us and we go to market on your behalf — getting multiple haulers to compete for your service. We handle the research, negotiation, paperwork, and ongoing management so you get the best rates with none of the hassle.
No — and this is intentional. We are completely independent and work exclusively for you. We're not owned by, employed by, or financially incentivized by any hauling company. That means every recommendation we make is 100% in your interest.
We work with businesses of all sizes — from single-location small businesses to large commercial portfolios. Our clients include restaurants, retailers, office buildings, strip malls, construction companies, property managers, and HOAs. If you're paying a waste bill, we can almost certainly save you money on it.
We work with businesses across the country. Our hauler network includes both national carriers and local independent haulers, giving us the flexibility to find the best fit for your location and needs. Contact us to confirm coverage in your specific area.
💰 Savings & Costs
Most of our clients save between 20% and 40% on their waste costs. The exact amount depends on your current rates, your hauler, your service type, and your location. Some clients save a few hundred dollars per year; others save tens of thousands. The only way to know is a free audit — which takes about 5 minutes to request.
Our model is performance-based. There are no upfront fees, no retainers, and no charges if we don't find savings. We earn a portion of the savings we generate for you — meaning we only make money when you do. If we can't save you money, you owe us nothing.
Not at all. We only place you with vetted, reliable haulers who can meet your service requirements. If we recommend switching, it's because we've confirmed the alternative hauler can match or exceed your current service level. And if any issues arise after the switch, we handle them directly.
You might be right — and if so, the audit will confirm it and you'll have peace of mind. But in our experience, most businesses believe they have good rates until we show them what the market actually looks like. Haulers rarely volunteer their best pricing unprompted. A free audit costs you nothing and could reveal significant savings.
⚙️ Our Process
We deliver your free savings analysis within 48 hours of receiving your invoices. If you approve our recommended plan, the transition to new or renegotiated service typically takes 1–3 weeks depending on your hauler and location. Most clients are saving money within a month of their first contact with us.
To get started, all we need is your last 2–3 months of waste invoices. That's it. From there, we handle all the research, hauler outreach, and negotiation. You don't need to do anything until we present you with your savings options.
No. That's one of the biggest benefits of working with us. We are your single point of contact for all waste-related issues — missed pickups, billing errors, service changes, complaints. You never have to sit on hold with a hauler again. We handle all of it.
We track your contract end dates and proactively go back to market well before renewal. This prevents your hauler from quietly auto-renewing at higher rates — a very common practice in the industry. We'll renegotiate again on your behalf and present you with the best available options.
🗑️ Services
We cover all standard commercial waste services including front-load dumpsters, rear-load containers, roll-off dumpsters, compactors, recycling, cardboard, organic/food waste, and specialty waste streams. If you're generating it and paying someone to haul it away, we can help negotiate better rates on it.
Yes. Roll-off is one of our specialties. Whether you need temporary containers for a single project or an ongoing arrangement for multiple job sites, we negotiate competitive rates and handle all logistics so your crews can stay focused on the work.
Absolutely. Many of our clients are property managers, franchisees, or multi-location businesses. We manage all your locations under a single account — one point of contact, unified reporting, and maximum leverage from your collective volume during negotiations.
🔄 Switching Haulers
We review your current contract as part of the free audit. Many waste contracts contain clauses that are unenforceable, improperly executed, or subject to renegotiation. In cases where an early termination fee applies, we calculate whether the long-term savings still outweigh the cost — and only recommend switching if it makes clear financial sense for you.
Not always. In many cases, we can renegotiate with your existing hauler and achieve meaningful savings without switching. The threat of competitive bids alone often motivates your current hauler to reduce rates. We always explore all options before recommending a change.
For most businesses, switching is seamless. We coordinate the timing of the old service ending and the new service beginning so there's no gap in coverage. Container swaps are scheduled around your operations to minimize disruption. We've managed hundreds of transitions and have the process down to a science.
